Hillary Clinton and Kathy Shelton

I've been wondering about this case, and I would like to know what you guys think about this.

I don't know which sources to trust per se, so if anyone here has been following this case, could you give me your thoughts on them? Thanks.

Re: Hillary Clinton and Kathy Shelton

Well- and I really don't like Mrs. Clinton -she was, if I recall, more laughing about the obvious failure of the lie detector test rather than about the rape per se. I mean, yeah, it's horrible, but it's kind of "gallows humor" funny.

She was a lawyer for the defense. It's her job to give the accused the best possible position in court. Any problem would have to revolve around whether something unethical is going on when a defense attorney defends someone they believe to be guilty.

Given the particular expertise a defense attorney is called on to have in court, I think they have a good case for acting ethically. Namely, they are called in to give the best possible defense from prosecution in the context of the court. They are not called to give their belief on the defendant's guilt. In that context, they are not acting with wrong intention to omit their belief about the guilt of the defendant.

It is precisely “values” that are the powerless and threadbare mask of the objectification of beings, an objectification that has become flat and devoid of background. No one dies for mere values.
