UN passes ‘unprecedented’ pro-family bill, outrages radicals

Full story: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/un-passes-unprecedented-pro-family-resolution-outraging-sexual-radicals

Tragically, the United States not only voted against the Protection of the Family resolution, which is based on and explicitly reaffirms Article 16, 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but outright campaigned against it, even threatening poor nations with foreign aid withdrawal if they supported the UN bill reitaring the rights of families and people to their families.

The "Protection of the Family" resolution included a litany of precedents in international law in its preamble, thus giving marriage and natural family defenders powerful legal arguments to defend their human rights under international law from State failure to recognize and protect the family. These laws and precedents, coupled with this resolution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, means that family defenders could defend the family and attack national or regional laws that harm the family, contradict, undermine or weaken it as violations of fundamental human rights.

For once, it seems, the UN did something right.

A link to the text of the resolution can be found here: https://c-fam.org/friday_fax/big-win-for-traditional-family-at-un-human-rights-council/

Re: UN passes ‘unprecedented’ pro-family bill, outrages radicals

There is an NGO, the U.N. Family Rights Caucus, representing people in over 160 countries that lobbies the UN to be faithful to its commitments under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to protect and remember the family in its planning, policies, goals and deliberations. Currently there is soon upcoming a major meeting of nations at the UN to discuss development goals for the next 15 years. However, the proposals for this meeting ignore the family and States' requirements to acknowledge and protect the family. The Protection of the Family Resolution does indeed call for remembering States' obligations to the family at this upcoming meeting; however, for the family to be included necessarily, a petition with 200,000 signatures is required.

The link here will allow you to sign this petition, which is about 60,000 short, having 142,000 signatures at this moment. Please share this petition on social media and encourage others to sign it to defend the natural family and work to make sure States' are held accountable and not neglect the people's family rights.
