Very Sad news

I was checking Dr. Feser's Blog and I found out some very unfortunate news. Scott has passed away due to an ulcer in his liver. This is very shocking to me and he will be missed greatly. He was the one who got me introduced to this forum in the first place, and provided me with resources to better understand classical theism as well as provided good answers to the questions I have asked. I hope he now rest in peace, and that his family will be able to cope with this. I will be praying for them.

ὦ Κρίτων, ἔφη, τῷ Ἀσκληπιῷ ὀφείλομεν ἀλεκτρυόνα: ἀλλὰ ἀπόδοτε καὶ μὴ ἀμελήσητε.

Crito, we owe a cock to Asclepius. Pay it and do not neglect it.

It is precisely “values” that are the powerless and threadbare mask of the objectification of beings, an objectification that has become flat and devoid of background. No one dies for mere values.
