'Imagine' or 'A Modest Plea to My Trans-Atlantic Cousins'

Over the course of the next six months there will be many, many colourful events in the US political sphere - debates between candidates, journalists complaining about candidates, Donald Trump wrestling bears, so-and-so getting the supermajority of votes in the whatever-it-is, somebody with a Supreme Court position commenting, contextually random but much applauded death threats against Sarah Palin, Donald Trump wrestling Russian bears, funny cat photos, complaints about misogyny, Sanders counter-factuals, and other wholesome American activities.

Now imagine if but half the time spent watching and reading about this was instead employed reading Brian Leftow's God and Necessity (now out in paperback). Just imagine it.

I'm not too sure what are you trying to say, but it sounds a bit humorous.
