My Octavia's DSG is jerking between gears

My Octavia's DSG is jerking between gears – any Skoda specialists here?

I've had my Skoda Octavia for about four years now and honestly, it's been one of the most reliable and practical cars I've ever owned, perfect for the daily commute from Sharjah to Dubai and plenty of space for the family on weekends. But recently, I've started noticing this really annoying jerking sensation when the DSG transmission shifts from first to second gear, especially when the engine is cold or when I'm pulling away from a stop in traffic. It almost feels like someone is tapping the brakes briefly every time it changes gear, and it's gotten noticeably worse over the past few weeks to the point where I'm genuinely concerned something might be failing internally. I took it to a general workshop near my place in Al Khan and they told me it might just need a transmission fluid service, but when I asked if they had the specific diagnostic tools for VW group cars, they seemed a bit vague and unsure, which didn't fill me with confidence. The thing with these DSG gearboxes is that they're incredibly sensitive to the type of fluid used and the exact filling procedure, and if you get it wrong, you can actually cause more damage than you fix. I've been asking around in some VW and Skoda owner groups and a few people mentioned that there's a Sharjah based exclusive Skoda workshop that actually specializes in these cars and has mechanics who've trained specifically on the MQB platform. That sounds exactly like what I need because I don't want someone learning on my transmission and making an expensive mistake. I'm planning to get it sorted before the summer really hits because I can imagine the heat only makes these issues worse, but I'd really love to hear from anyone who's had similar DSG problems and found a place that actually fixed them properly. Was it just a fluid change or did you need clutch adaptations or even a mechatronics unit replacement? Please share your experiences because I'm trying to figure out how worried I should be.
