I've had such a good time with Ed's blog and this forum that I'm starting to wonder if there aren't any respectable (conservative) Continental Philosophy blogs. The closest that springs to mind is Bill Valencia's blog.
For anyone who cares, a conservative (as opposed to radical) Continental Philosopher is generally still committed to philosophy as some kind of coherent project. Good post-Heidegger examples would be Gademer, Merleau-Ponty, Habermas, Leo Strauss, Alan Bloom, and Stanley Rosen. Contrasting would be (later) Derrida and all of his English Department followers, Zizek, many of the "speculative realists", and Lyotard.

My BooksIt is precisely “values” that are the powerless and threadbare mask of the objectification of beings, an objectification that has become flat and devoid of background. No one dies for mere values.~Martin Heidegger
