Hi Brian,

You can check out Fr. Michael Dodds' The Unchanging God of Love. Of course, you can check out his Unlocking Divine Action. However, that book is more focused on Thomist philosophy. You can also look at some works by Fr. Thomas Weinandy like Jesus The Christ, Does God Suffer?, Jesus: Essays in Christology. Finally, Greg already beat me to one of Fr.Thomas White's works but you can check out his The Incarnate Lord. Anyways, your welcome and may God guide you.

Hi Brian,

Since you are interested in Catholic philosophy read stuff made Catholic religious orders say the Dominicans or Franciscans (Check out the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology). Some good examples are Fr. Michael Dodds, Fr. Thomas Joseph White, Fr. Thomas Weinandy. Of course, you can always go back and read some classical thinkers like Bl. Duns Scotus or St. Anselm.

Chit-Chat » What do you think if Feser's Five Proofs? » 9/10/2017 11:00 pm

@DanielCC

To be fair, Feser does address some objections from the more sophisticated philosophers of religion (Atheist and theist alike), say the modal collapse objection against the PSR or Plantinga's and Morris' attacks against Divine Simplicity.

Look up St. Augustine of Hippo or some of the Church fathers like St. John Chrysostom  or St. Athanasius.

@ RomanJoe

Check out Alexander Pruss, he devotes a lot of time defending the PSR. You can read his book on the PSR or check out his long essay in the Blackwell Companion to Natural Theology.

I'm curious. Why should we avoid Jaworski?

@nojourn
Yes, I know that NARTH contains some articles that are religious and they do partner with other religious organizations (JONAH). Still, the organization has plenty of articles that are scientific and non-religious.

"Also I'm thinking  what would drive a secular organization to provide conversion therapy for homosexuals."

Well, some homosexuals don't want to live the homosexual lifestyle or want to get rid of their homosexual attractions and other organizations don't provide those services, so this organization provides them with those services.
