@joewaked
I think the question is ontological not epistemic.

No, there is no such thing as divorce in the Roman Church, and such doctrine cannot be changed. The Roman Church believes in the words of Jesus in Mark 10:9.

Hi Jeremy Taylor,
Have you read Mark Dooley's Moral Matters? He does criticize some forms of Post-modernism and deconstructionism.
Theoretical Philosophy » Classical books on freedom of the will » 9/20/2016 3:19 pm |
I don't know any books that talk about freedom of the will from a Classical perspective. However, I do know about J.R. Lucas' book "Freedom of the Will," and I believe it talks about related matters.

Oh yes, Dr. Boghossian the man who pushed for critical thinking back in 2013. Now I remember, what happened to his "10000 army"? I guess he's back for another spectacle.

Hi Charlemagne,
So far I agree that the person who made those objections don't understand the Thomistic Natural Theology arguments or A-T metaphysics.
Here are some blogs posts from Dr. Feser that address the QM objections:
Also, Dr. Feser addresses the QM objections in his book Scholastic Metaphysics chapter 2 and talks about causality extensively.

"To give a little background information the type of argument Gödel develops is important since it attempts to justify the controversial possibility premise by a neat Scotist-Leibnizian coda to the effect that of their nature all pure perfections must be compossible."
I haven't read Scotus, so in which of Scotus' works does he talk about something of a MOA or the like?

I'm a non-Christian who has no inherent problem with hell. Reasoning very loosly as a classical Platonist one can easily jusify the thought of something close:
1. The souls of those who are evil are vastly disordered.
2. A vastly disordered soul cannot be in the right relationship with the World.
3. Not being in the right relationship with the World is suffering.
4. The soul is immortal.
5. If death is final, then the state of the soul after death is eternal.
6. Death is final.
7. A state of of eternal suffering is what is meant by Hell.
:. Hell exists.
Hi iwpoe,
I should've been more clear, but neither do I have an issue with hell. In fact, we might agree on some things. I think that when you sin then you're "isolating" yourself from that of which is Goodness Itself. Hence, you're living in a deprived state.
