A nice logic text from a Scholastic point of view is Principles of Logic, by George Hayward Joyce. You can read it at, or get a cheap hardcopy from Amazon (Forgotten books Classic reprint series).

His Principles of Natural Theology is also very good.

Hi guys, great to see this forum up and running, and I look forward to contributing.

A little about me: I've been following Feser's blog for about three years and have read TLS and "Aquinas".  I'm not a Catholic (I would describe myself as a Deist). I discovered Aristotle & co. after a brief flirt with Ayn Rand's Objectivism (by the way, thanks to Scott for his excellent book "Objectivism and the Corruption of Rationality") and have been hooked ever since. I've had an interest in philosophy for a long time but don't have any formal training in it (I did consider it as a degree option many years ago, but decided to do something more "practical").
