In the Philippines, the government now requires all mobile users to complete a TM sim registration to keep their phone numbers active and avoid being cut off from calls, texts, and mobile data. Has anyone else here dealt with similar identity verification requirements from their own local governments, and how did you feel about it from a personal freedom perspective?
