Bertrand Russell and consistency

Is it just me, or does Russell's rejection of intentionality undermine any sort of assertion science can make on the basis of inconsistency?

How does he formulate his rejection of intentionality? Do you have a quote or a reference?

Did he reject intentionality? It's not a big aspect of his work if he does, though I recall that he read Husserl.
