Dr. Feser's Adventures in old Atheism

For anyone following Dr. Feser's blog, you might be aware that he is doing a series criticizing the naivete of the New Atheist by considering how the old(cooler) atheist viewed the implications of atheism: http://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/2016/06/adventures-in-old-atheism-part-i.html.(I would recommend it highly)
Personally for me this was something I needed right away when I first saw it, as I was going through a period of wondering whether under atheism could let me "live"(Dr. Feser helped me see what I had in mind was just hedonism), and plus I now see how the values sprouted out by the gnus/SJW/popular media or their ilk has little foundation apart from the religious traditions they are against(now I have new material in case I need to debate one of them). What do you guys think of his post, and are there good works of other thinkers which help bring this issue into more light(so far I have Kierkegaard with regards to the levels of despairs he articulates).
