I'm interested in this topic and would like to know this forum's views. What is the relationship between the qualitative aspects of beings and their quantitative constituents that physical and chemical analysis can capture and study? Or, to put it another way, what is the relationship between the microscopic properties of a being's basic constituents and the properties of its macroscopic existence? Is there a correlation? Which one determines the other?
