Early christian philosophy

Any good books about the early period of christian theology/philosophy? I have been searching for books about the topic but i'm not sure wich ones are worth reading.

Re: Early christian philosophy

Look up St. Augustine of Hippo or some of the Church fathers like St. John Chrysostom  or St. Athanasius.

Re: Early christian philosophy

In addition to the mentioned book by J. N. D. Kelly, whose 5th and last edition dates from 1977, and which covers the whole scope of Christian doctrines, I suggest these later books on the two fundamental doctrines:

On trinitarian theology: Lewis Ayres (2004), Nicaea and Its Legacy: An Approach to Fourth-Century Trinitarian Theology.

On christology: Aaron Riches (2016), Ecce Homo: On the Divine Unity of Christ.

Re: Early christian philosophy

@Johannes
the concept of the trinity has been one of my interests lately (it's quite fascinating from a non-christian perspective). Thanks for the help.
