Lecture/Podcast Recommendations

I'm new to classical theism and neo-scholasticism.  I was wondering if there are any lectures or podcasts which would be good to check out.  I mainly want to learn more about Artistotle's metaphysics, since I'm reading Feser's book Aquinas, and I want to reinforce the concepts that I am learning in that book.

Re: Lecture/Podcast Recommendations

Hmm. I know a lot of lectures but lectures specifically on Thomistic Aristotle are harder to get. Anglo scholarship on Aristotle is generally anti-systematic because, basically, they suppose the man cannot possibly be correct,

I'll do some digging for you.

natmain,

Here are links to Edward Feser's What We Owe the New Atheists, and An Aristotelian Proof of the Existence of God.

Re: Lecture/Podcast Recommendations

A good twenty-hour course that gives an overview of Thomism is The Mind of Man: The Philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas, taught by Prof. Harry C. Veryser, Jr.

Also look at the links in the side boxes on James Chastek's blog Just Thomism. The lectures are presented by Duane Berquist.

Also check out the courses offered by the Institute for Catholic Culture:
The Angelic Doctor – An Introduction to the Thought of Saint Thomas Aquinas
Piercing the Darkness: An Introduction to Aquinas’ Summa Theologica

Re: Lecture/Podcast Recommendations

This one seems promising (anyone listened to it through?):

This running podcast is a mixed bag:

but they sometimes hit the right spots.

Re: Lecture/Podcast Recommendations

I move that this thread be transferred over to the Resources Forum and used as a general repository for Video and Audio links.

And too make a contribution: there's a nice selection of mini-interviews in which Brian Leftow explains various Classical Theist concepts over at Closer to the Truth

I've started a few lectures from that series. I generally trust material from the University of Notre Dame.
